| Odette Knowflake Posts: 7034 | posted February 28, 2013 06:32 PM Oh Snap! I'm in the exact same situation - exact Mars square Mars and I can't get rid of him. My Mars is Capricorn and his is Aries. The way I am trying to handle this is... First of all I made a very definitive decision that I will never be romantically involved with this person. This is completely off the table and it will never happen. It doesn't matter what he wants or if he *tries* to make this sexual/romantic.. I am sticking to my decision on that, come hell or high-water. Secondly, I've made my peace with the fact that - after his behaviour thus far I will never be able to trust him, and hence, we will never have a *real* friendship. This trust thing is irreparable. Even if his entire personality changed now and he behaved like "the second coming" in every way - for the next decade... the Capricorn in me still couldn't forget or trust again. So this is also a closed chapter. Thirdly - when it comes to interacting with him, which I have to do.. I will try my best to be cordial, normal/sociable.. I will try my best to behave as I would towards any other acquaintance... and I will mostly avoid him as much as I can. For me - one and two ^^ are really important, because as long as you still have hopes for a friendship or for something romantic... you are inclined to TRY to make things work. With this aspect - I think it's better to kill those hopes and completely wipe the person out. I know Brangelina have this aspect.. in the same signs we do and also exact.. But they have other things to help out like Mars conj Jupiter for example... so it depends on the rest of the synastry. IP: Logged |

And it's interesting you should mention the sexuality of it, because even though this aspect is really tough it is said to bring sexual attraction. Sometimes my primal/animalistic part of my brain tries to get me to "relieve" the energy by just going to bed with him, but then the rest of my brain kicks in and reminds me what a TERRIBLE idea that would be. I was hoping for a friendship or at least a collaboration of sorts (he is sort of a coworker and his help would be instrumental to my career) but perhaps there is just no way around this aspect. He gets angry with me for no apparent reason...I seem to bring out his temper quite a bit without meaning to. He gets me annoyed too, but I feel like it doesn't phase me as much (yet)... maybe because in my natal I have my mars exactly opposite my moon which perhaps makes the hard aspect to mars between us a bit more familiar to me. I was just talking about this yesterday in a thread in the Sweet Peas forum, but that appears to have been deleted. I am going to "manage" him from a very emotionally detached stand-point. I think things will work out as long as I am nice enough for him to not have serious issue with me... And detached enough for him to understand this will never be romantic. I did block him in social media including Facebook.. which probably sends an unfriendly message... But as long as I am cordial towards him in RL he won't really be able to say much about that. After all, blogs and twitter and FB are often part of a persons private life and since I only want a professional involvement with him, I guess it's fair enough to block him from my private life. About the sexuality of it. When I met him, months ago I was attracted but I am now put off. He seems too immature emotionally and I can't deal with him. My reasons not to have sex are not the typical reasons.. like whether or not it's morally reproachable or what not. My reason is primarily that I do not trust him as far as I can throw him and I do not want this person physically near me.. Let alone touching me or inside me. IP: Logged |

I found his superficiality and general immaturity a huge put off.He basically hurt people for fun - a bunch of people, not just one. He had sad*stic tendencies, which can be a way Mars in Aries (square Saturn in his chart) can play out. His Saturn was conj my Cap Mars/Neptune. He isn't in my life at all anymore. I haven't seen him virtually all year because he no longer works with me. I would be more than happy to never cross paths with him again. I found this suuuuuuper hot guy (to distract me from my beautiful Virgo/Scorp, even though whenever I look at him I feel so peaceful and at home) but is the Mars square really that impossible, even with a trine from my powerful moon/Venus?! And with his Mars in the anaretic degree, it's maybe not so strong? No TOB for this guy unfortunately. My Saturn puts a damper on things too... We have a Grand Cross in the composite, too: Sun/Saturn opposite Jupiter, Pluto opposite Venus/Mars. I would have thought similar sign placements (like personal planets in the same signs) would be good too, but recently I met someone with whom I had a strong mutual dislike and we had all that, even DW sun-moon same signs. Anyway the conjunctions with the guy above really struck me. All these Scorpio moons are making me swoon. I wonder if I am evolving a bit more now, with my sun and Venus in Taurus seeking balance through the opposition? I've developed a tight friendship with a Scorpio sun/Virgo moon too. IP: Logged |

The best way to handle Mars square Mars is put the distance, be detached, and don't try to be around each other shoes too much, you can even be a good/best friend.. Stay in a friendly zone. I've read somewhere that it is common between an affair as sexual attraction is the first thing that caught the radar, until you live together and keep fighting.. For each of these relationships...and why I gave the aspect a second go...we have his Mars (in scorpio) conjunct my Venus to the degree. One RX Mars, one Direct. The RX allowed for a lot more of the mars Venus conjunction to come forward...so much love...but the anger was always present under the surface...I think it expresses itself very clearly as a conflict in direction. I have a mars in Leo around 21 degrees and Venus in Scorp at 25. The square in my chart produces a rough time being met in love on it's own...and I get seduced by the mars conjunct my Venus becuz...DAMN. It's powerful!! But, even though this last relationship had a synastry chart where we had a double whammy moon conjunct sun, double whammy Venus trine moon/sun conjunctions, and double whammy vertex conjunct chiron (seriously?? why all that bonding energy with this defensive and competitive one??)...we couldn't even hold a friendship together. it was too push pull, too dynamic. I think this is truly one of the most angry making aspects and I'm sad about it...but I can't deny that it has more power than the most positive of influences, in my experience. IP: Logged |
