I’m in constant contact with people around the state that are in the know. High school coaches, travel coaches, media, etc and I’m always hunting their insights. Disclaimer: It’s summer ball. For some coaches it means almost literally nothing. But, I think it can set the tone for your team’s season. And on an individual level, it shows who’s been putting in the work since their HS season ended. So personally, I love summer HS ball.
Here is what I have for today:
Lilly Woodruff
HEIGHT 5'8"
POS SF
CLASS 2027
State: Tennessee
School: Sweetwater
Club: TN Flight Trotters
As a freshman, she put up a simple 18 points 10 rebounds. I’ve heard she’s looking even better this season in team camp, and is turning into a true 3 level scorer. In very limited minutes, she’s averaging 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block. By the end of her career, she will likely smash every record in Sweetwater GBB history.
Highlights
Ellie Butler
HEIGHT 5'9"
POS SG
CLASS 2025
State: Tennessee
School: Livingston Academy
Ellie “Buckets” Butler has been DOMINANT in summer team camps. She’s averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists. I could easily see her averaging 25 points a game this season as she simply continues to get better and better.
As of this writing, Livingston’s gone 3-1 with wins over Cleveland and Smith Co, and their only loss to Loretto.
Highlights
Ivy Napier
POS N/A
CLASS 2029
Ivy Napier
School: Webb Knox
Club: ETA Thunder ’27
Ivy Napier spent her spring playing up vs ’27s in AAU, and it’s now paying off for her HS team. Only an 8th grader, she’s been the 6th man off the bench for the state runner up. She’s shot 40% from 3 and always plays hard on D, and is a terrific on the ball defender. She will be a BIG TIME player down the road.
Lexi Jenkins
School: Kingston
Club: ETA Thunder
The freshman is playing a ton of minutes as a freshman for Kingston, and from what I’ve heard, she’s looking like one of their best players. She averaging double figures thus far, and looks to earn more minutes as she becomes used to the speed of the HS game.
Lilly Mullins
POS PG
CLASS 2026
Lilly Mullins
School: Farragut
While injuries are unfortunate, they sometimes can open the door for players to show what they are capable of. As Annie Priest Annie Priest 5'7" | SG Farragut | 2025 State TN has battled the injury bug a bit this summer, Lilly Mullins has stepped right into the PG role and ran the team extremely well by all accounts. Her ability to step up and be a reliable backup PG that can run the offense is big development for Farragut.
Lily Wright
HEIGHT 6'0"
POS N/A
CLASS 2028
Lily Wright
School: Grace
Club: Elevate Elite
Lily Wright might very well be the best ’28 in the state. She’s a 6 foot wing this is already a 3 level scorer, and plays terrific D.
My sources have said she’s been especially good defensively. Moving her feet well, athletic and big enough to guard most every player. And she’s blocking shots at a high rate for her position.
Offensively, she’s been great scoring at the rim on penetration. She’s going to step onto the floor in November and make an IMMEDIATE impact for what will be a really good Grace team.
