I just re-read my review from the first book and I want to just use it again. Everything I said about book one applies to this one too. It was fascinating to see how Sadie's perceived by her older sister, and Chrys's opinions about her own self worth are absolutely heart breaking. I loved having the opportunity to learn more about the vampires of The Edge. Though I could have done without Aurelia at her manipulative best. Without giving too much away, they should never have transformed that woman back. (evil cackle!) Now you'll have to read to the end to find out what I'm talking about. It was such a joy to watch Chrys learn to embrace all the different aspects of herself. And Carter? Well, he pulls a couple of jerk moves but it's pretty obvious he sees Chrys as something special. I can't wait to read everything in this series. I am well and truly hooked.

Second book in the very hot Distant Edge series. Meant for mature readers due to some graphic and very steamy scenes.

This story follows Chrys, a witch who has been under her mother's thumb for 25 years. But now she is ready to change and maybe explore what life has to give. And a certain male vampire is more than happy to help.

Hot, Strong Witch! 💃🏽

I love this just as much as I loved Sadie's story. Chrys finally got the courage to move out of her moms house. Moving out has finally allowed her to come into her own and discover her womanhood. It's so funny and refreshing to witness her reaction to her sensuality and what it feels like to be wanted. See, Chrys is a 25 year old virgin witch who never embraced her femininity. Along comes sexy vampire, Carter who wants her and makes her so feminine, sexy and wanted. Chrys always felt invisible and she was okay with it but jealous of her sisters. After a few misadventures and spells gone wrong, Chrys bonded more with her sisters and new roommates making her realize that a part of why she never fit in was because of her mother and said mother is the reason her and Sadie never got along. The misadventures brought all the girls together and now Chrys has a new family and she truly understands what it means to be loved. Aurelia is an evil witch and I keep wondering why she set her girls against each other and why she is the way she is. This was a fun, sexy story and quite a bit of humor. I'm in love with this series, can't wait for Jared's story but I wish Iphy was next.

However she also felt overshadowed by her mother and sister. She never felt any desire for a man until she met Carter, a vampire. She was brought up to hate vampires but he gave her new unusual desires. He even invaded her dreams. Chrys mother catches Chrys pleasuring herself in bed for the first time ever and kicks her out of the house. Luckily her sister Sadie's friends offer her her sister's old room. They introduce her to a new life free from her mother's rules. Chrys is both attracted and repelled by her new experiences. Her control over her emotions slip and she starts to lose control over her magic. Her feelings for Carter keep growing. However Carter has been keeping a big secret from her. He needs a powerful witch to save his little brother from a curse. However the cure for the curse may require Chrys' life blood.
This is a good book with a lot of twists and turns. At first I didn't like Chrys because of how judgemental and cold she was but as the story went on, she got more likable. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

rcvd an advanced reader copy for giving my two cents. we meet Chrys in the previous novel as the oldest sister..the introvert, the good girl and prude so to speak. sadie and ryder get a place of their own and that leaves room at Casa Manana and everyone wants Chrys to move in.. a) she needs a life b) she needs to get out of their mothers house and c) she needs to be open to more experiences. Chrys decides to do it when her mother objects.. go figure. when Chrys is about to leave the new place, she opens the door and walks into teh most gorgeous man she has ever seen...up until her smiles at her...with fangs. No No NO she cannot be attracted to a vampire but Carter is damn fine. Chrys doesnt want anything to do with him but she cant stop thinking about him. after spending together, carter tells her about his cursed brother julian. chrys decides to help him but julian has to feed from her. after carter saves chyrs from being drained, she is hurt that carter used her. a motorcycle accident leaves carter in teh hospital and chyrs is distraught and wants to help but everything goes wrong. Can chrys save carter? can she forgive him?

A town of witches, vampires & shifters, Chrys story

Chrys is Sadie’s older sister, who has a low self esteem due to how their mum’s treated her in the past, and little control of her magic which manifests when she’s angry.

When Sadie stops living with her friends to move in with Ryder, they offer her room to Chrys, and a life away from her mum. She meets Carter, a vampire friend of Burgundy’s, as she’s leaving and can’t get him out of her mind. So when her mum throws her out of the house, she takes up the offer to move in with her sister’s friends and life starts getting better for her. But life keeps throwing problems at her, Carter and her new friends.

This is the 2nd in the series and a great story with fast paced action and steamy romance. The town of Distant Edge is full of humans, shifters, vampires and witches with family dramas, suspense, mysteries and magic. This story will not disappoint; with some great twists and a fantastic ending.

A Witch's Dark Craving, the story of Chrys is captivating, interesting and literally forced me to read it all in one sitting. It is surprising to come across stories in this genre with such amazing plot and character development. It is pretty evident that Chloe Adler has spent a significant amount of time crafting this masterpiece. It literally has every important element that a good paranormal romance story should: a well developed story line, fiery characters, incredibly hot sex scenes and leaves you craving for more.

Even though you can read these books standalone, I'd highly recommend that you read them in order. It's just gonna give you an immersive reading experience. All in all, if you've read the first book, you shouldn't be wasting time reading my review and just get started with this one. If you haven't, go read Sadie's story (1st book) and thank me later. ;)

Danger excitement witches and vampires, secret clubs what more is there today this is the first book I have read in this series Chrys is the odd sister the ugly duckling she call herself. She does not have the greatest relationship with her mom. She meets a sexy vampire Carter whom. She knows she should not lust after but their is an attraction between the two that they can not ignore.

I love how Carter can talk to Chrysler in her sleep this is an unlikely couple a vampire and a witch but I like them together. I believe that anyone would love this story. I normally do not read these sort of books but I absolutely loved this one and will be reading the rest of this series.

I highly recommend this series if you enjoy paranormal romances and many of them feature ménage.

I have read most of them now and really like the characters. The sisters have a lot of trouble with their mother who likes to meddle and control them. Chrys is the oldest of the three witch sisters and tried hard to please her mother. She has never pursued love or even sex until she meets a sexy vampire she can't seem to resist.

The first book in the series showed her in a non-flattering light as a judgmental sister. You get to understand her behavior more in this book. She really is protective of those she loves and has tried so hard to please other that she lost a sense of herself. I liked seeing all the characters from another point of view and it made for a good read.

This is the second book in The Love on the Edge Series. An entertaining book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters intriguing. The characters were developed and thought out. Carter and Chrysothemis are the MC’s of this book. I did like the friends and how loyal they are to each other. There was witches, vampires, shifters, school, accidents, tracking, problematic mother, moving, destruction, loss of control, painting, amulets, sex and so much more in this book. This book had some good writing, but it needed detail. Unfortunately, I can’t say that this is a book that I would reread. But it was good for a read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

This is actually the second book in the series but my first time read from Adler. The power of three is front and center here with Sadie, Iphi, and Chrys. However, Chrys feels she remained in the shadows and everyone knew what was best for her except herself. This is when her powers would spike and all Hell broke loose. Their controlling mother, because that is exactly how I see her, imposed her own magic against her daughter. Even Carter used Chrys and though for a good reason it still felt like a betrayal. However, to see how Chrys handles "everyone" has moments of humor as well as despair. You'll have to read the story to realize all the different aspects and personalities that make it come to life. A Witch’s Dark Craving is my second read from author Chloe Adler in the last day. I just re-read my review from the first book and I want to just use it again. Everything I said about book one applies to this one too. I’m not normally a witch/shifter/vampire reader, but this is an extremely well-written story (dramatic romance) by a good author and the characters and storyline would work just as well with mainstream characters and setting. I started reading the fourth book in the series and quickly realized that although touted as a stand-alone there was too much I was missing by not having read the first 3 books, so I got them and started reading.

Oh my! The fun never stops! Chrys, Sadie's older sister, meets life head on here as well as her witchy powers. Somehow she's talked into moving into Sadie's old home with her two friends , and the first time there she meets Carter, a vampire. She's drawn to him and can't understand why. Here's a vampire for gosh sakes and totally an unacceptable individual! Of course that's her mother's take on anyone not a witch.
Read the fun ,the topsy turvy heartache as Chrys, at after 25 starts to grow up!

Well as you now know, I've read book 1, (a witch's mortal desire) & in that story we learned about Sadie Holt. But you do not have to read this story even though they are connected, they're still stand alone.

Any hoo, on to the next story. OMG!!! This story was awesome. Chris, who was a starched-lace beeatch, turned into one strong, sexy woman. And all it took was a hot, sexy, vampire, Carter. There was so much going on besides just Chris & Carter's love/sex life. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

I really like reading these side stories on some of the other character's from Iphi's story. I love learning about each of their backstories and how they came to be where they are during the other series. In this one we learn Chrys' story, her relationships with her mother and sisters and her feelings about it all. Fantastic spin off, well written series within a series with different characters and appearances of the others while telling a completely different view. I loved it! I liked how each of the girls come into their own strength throughout their individual stories and come to find their HEA. I can't wait to read the next one.

OMG was this book amazing or what? This book was hot and when you throw in witches, vamps and shifter, things are bound to get crazy. I could not put it down until I finished reading it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to read it and aren’t sure if they want to. Trust me, you will love it. Cant wait for book 3

Well rounded characters that keep you reading until the end of the book. A fun easy read with romance, magic, danger drama and many twists and turns as Chrys becomes closer to her sisters and matures. I think these stories are getting better as they are written in the series. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Chloe Adler is such a wonderful writer and I highly recommend this book and author to everyone. I can't wait till the next book. I could barely put the book down man I can't wait till the next one. Book one was good, but this book was even better not because the sex was less and more straight forward but because the story evolved more, just like a good book should. and this one does and I honestly can't wait to read the next book in the series. If you enjoy books about witches, vampires, and shifters with some sex thrown in and mixed up to produce a great story then this book is one I would recommend.,

A great sequel! I loved that Sadie and her crew grew from the first to this book. There are more trials and a little drama thrown in here. Also fun magical sequences!! I love this series and hope to read more!

I'm hooked!!! I'm a paranormal romance junkie & I've been drawn into the Distant Edge world. I love the characters and story lines that are developed/ing. Although I will admit Aurelia is a bitch! lol

Chrys is finally becoming her own person,and not sliding under the radar. With the help of her sisters, her friends and want to be lover, she becomes stronger and more determined. I enjoyed the who?e storyline and look forward to the next book
